Focus on what you should be eating: This is one of my favorite parts of a healthy lifestyle. If you're focusing on eating fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and other good stuff; you might just find that you are full and satisfied. Matt will try to eat at least 3 servings of vegetables a day.
Eat your favorite treats, but don't go crazy: Matt will follow my tip of eating healthy 90% of the time. So if he is eating about 2000 calories a day, he will have no more than 200 calories of junk a day. Since he lives with me and I do the meal planning, he will also follow the idea of eating one splurge meal a week.
Stop the Coke Zero addiction: I kicked my diet soda habit in 2011, Matt will attempt to stop the diet sodas now. I found that the trick is to make sure you're still having your daily caffeine through coffee & tea.
Schedule your exercise in advance: Matt will start planning his workouts at the beginning of the week, and make sure he sticks to the schedule. Making a date with yourself helps you keep the commitment and get moving.
